Description

- Regulator and power: This generator uses a 78L05 voltage regulator (5V output). It prefers an input in the 8-9V range and typically draws about 200 mA. - Wiring and inputs: Connect 5-pin and 6-pin as shown in the reference photo. The 7-pin encoder sits in the middle and connects to the digital matrix input. The 14-pin header provides the 8V power supply with ground from the motherboard (14P 8V GND). - Power note: An input voltage of 12V can be used only for short-term testing; prolonged operation may cause the board to heat up. - Frequency control: Continuous adjustment from 0 to 55 MHz in 1 Hz steps for precise tuning. - Use scenarios: - RF front-end testing: use as a stable reference signal for mixers and downconversion benches. - Bench debugging: feed the digital matrix input while iterating frequencies to characterize circuits. - Educational lab: demonstrate fine-grained frequency stepping (0.0 to 55.000000 MHz) and connector wiring.
