It can detect an RF signal with power from -55 dBm to 0 dBm and convert this RF signal into a DC voltage output. - Broad application: Suitable for RF signal detection, signal power measurement, and ambient field strength detection. Can be used as an integral part of automatic gain control (AGC) and automatic level control (ALC) loops. - Hardware: This power meter is equipped with the AD8317 chip to detect RF signal power. - Output characteristics: The output voltage increases with RF signal amplitude and is proportional to the logarithm of the input signal amplitude, extending the detected signal dynamic range by 55 dB. Typical applications - RF test and measurement setups to characterize signal strength across the 1 MHz to 10 GHz range. - Ambient field strength monitoring or EMI/EMC testing in laboratory or field environments. - Component in AGC or ALC loops for RF receivers, front-ends, or transmitters to stabilize signal levels.
